The overall design and layout of the Redesign Magazine project is targeting to include more different audiences, and with different layout from original version to stand out between different competitive magazines assorted in the shelf of newsstands. Dwell is a design and technology brand magazine, not just an interior or home exterior magazine. For overall design layout, I used the asymmetrical balance for everything I have designed to make more interesting flows of the magazine.

Wired - readership survey + postal subscription

The overall design and layout of the Readership Survey is aligned to match the style of WIRED DesignLife magazine. WIRED DesignLife Magazines uses huge photographs and white boxes on the top of the photograph with explanations on them. The white box that explains the product is always aligned with the text without any borders or spaces around them. To incorporate this style, I chose to use a similar image style that can show the rewards users can get at the first glance. The font family I chose to use is called Brandon Text, which is also used by WIRED for body texts and titles. For the order of the content, I designed to encourage readers to read from title of the magazine, 2 different rewards, and the survey questions at the last which appeals readers to complete the survey for rewards.
