Hi I’m SoHyun Park
I am an experienced Product Designer. I would love to join Dark Matter Labs as a Visual Communication Designer for this year!
I am a recently graduated student from SFU, majored in Interactive Arts + Technology with a Design concentration, and minored in Publishing design.
On the side, I have also aquired Business Innovation Certificate from IDEO.
Education
Work Experience
I have a background in UX/UI with visual design skills, which provided me with experience in the design industry. I have worked as a Product Designer at Accenture and UX/UI Design Intern with RBC Royal Bank of Canada. My main tasks were wireframing, visual adaptation, presenting to clients, user journey, creating a design system, and rapid prototyping. Furthermore, I also have a few freelance designer experiences with various companies as well.
Passion
While working and studying, I got to be exposed to some inclusive design with the team. It has interested me in accessible and inclusive design, so I am looking for more experiences to grow as a designer. This experience has also allowed me to work on an information visualization project on a small booklet to spread awareness of inclusive design, which can also be used as a cheat sheet for readers.
After this experience, I have been keen to be exposed to more data visualization projects and opportunities to learn. I hope to learn these skills to bring tangible solutions and visualization for various information by joining Dark Matter Labs.
